Second Try: Piggybacking buttons on existing PCB for Sony a6300 remote shutter

All,

I am trying to hack a remote shutter for the sony a6300 DSLR camera. I currently own this Fotga remote shutter, which I have opened to reveal the PCB.

In short, I want to build a wooden grip with controls in it. I plan on placing the Fotga remote control inside the handle, and I want to have access to the buttons. I want to move the buttons to the thumb and finger positions on the wooden handle. I have several momentary switches at home I would like to use.

My question is, can I just solder the connections for my new momentary buttons onto the existing connections on the PCB while leaving the existing buttons on the PCB in place? I must have functionality of S2, S3 and S4 on the PCB, and S1 and SW1 are optional buttons.

Does anyone know if this is possible without shorting out my connection to the camera?

Any help is greatly appreciated. If further clarification is needed, please let me know, I'll include what I'm trying to accomplish in pictures.

Thank you for anyone that can help.

You could have just edited your original topic, rather than creating a new one. That just makes work for the moderators.

I see you were now able to attach your picture. Do you have an idea of what the problem was the first time?

Sorry. Yes, I tried that and it said I had to wait 5 minutes to repost. I waited 10 minutes and got the same message, so I just created a new message with the image.

Sorry, didn't mean to create extra work.

Try this... it's for a Sony Alpha DLSR, but by editing the IR code table you should to be able to control your camera.
