Hey, im new to arduino and was looking to build a project (maybe a bit much to start with, but i can break it down into parts if needed)
Looking to make something for a little seed germination box with some automated features and tech (mostly to learn how to do it, and cause im too lazy to look after them so ill learn a new skill and build a machine to get out of it... lol)
Might be easier if i list some components im thinking and a few other things first.....
-This will be the base germination box im going to start with:

-a heating mat roughly the size or slightly smaller than 145mmx185mm. Preferably self adhesive... i was looking at some 5v usb options but im not sure if they get hot enough. Id prefer not to play with mains power if possible. So any sugestions on a heating mat suitible for plants that i wont kill myself wiring up
- ky-15 (or better sugestion) to check temp to tigger heater and actuate a servo to open or close the vent at the top of the box to control the humidity

Looking for recomendations on best choice of arduino
Thinking of lopping the usb plug and swapping for another plug so i can choose what lights r being used and when.
-photoresistor to make sure the lights arent turned on during the day when not needed
-Rtc module (not sure how important this is for schedualing events on time, so let me know if its needed
-custom pcb with room for expansion if i want to add more pods.
-what will i need to power this and what other components would i need to make this work???
I know its a bit, but im sure i can get away with one thing at a time until i get to the coding part i need to learn.... any help would be much appreciated...
