Please correct me if I'm wrong but you have 4 ways to power a Seeeduino (any 'Duino?) board.

  1. External power — 7-12V
  2. USB
  3. Vin pin — 7-12V
    4. 5V — plug a regulated 5V supply directly to one of the 5V pins
