Seeking Firmware Developer to Take Over Support for LED Light Project (Hourly Rate)

Hello all,

I am looking for a freelancer to take over the ongoing support of an Arduino-based firmware project I originally developed for a commercial client. The project is for an LED light product, and the firmware is stable and fully functional, but the client occasionally requires updates, bug fixes, or feature enhancements.

This is an hourly contract position, and payment will be based on the actual work done—there's no fixed budget. Please provide your hourly rate, and we can discuss the details as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with embedded systems and firmware development in C++
  • Familiarity with LED control (PWM, color management, etc.)
  • Ability to debug, maintain, and enhance existing firmware code

This is a great opportunity if you're looking for flexible work that you can take on as needed.

If you're interested, please reply here or send me a DM with a bit about your experience, your hourly rate, and any questions you have.

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you!

What is your plan for the requested developer to learn how your project works or to test the code changes? Will you supply a duplicate system or pay travel expenses?

Thanks for the good questions.

Most likely will provide a duplicate system unless the dev lives in one of the cities where we have a facility.

I'm not leaving the project, just moving into a different role. I will continue to manage the project and be available during learning/hand-off and development to support the new dev. I will review code changes and the manufacturing team does manual QA, as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

The usual question: what's the budget?

So it's up to you

LOL ... that's such an unusual sentence that I definitly overlooked it
