Self-balancing robot

Hello!
I am looking to hire someone to assist/consult me in a robotics project - paid freelance gig of course.

The project is very similar to this project --> Get on the Tightrope | Tightrope Unicycle Bot | Adafruit Learning System , with some particular tweaks.

I have seen some other similar robotic projects that utilize a gyroscope above the tightrope. Not sure which solution would be the most reliable for my case.

Below is the final vision.

A robot that can self-balance and travel back and forth along a 20ft tightrope or thin track. This is for an exhibition I am putting together in February, and I will be fabricating a lightweight carcass to put around the robot in form of a man carrying two barbells like this --> https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/26gAAOSwLClk-0Wk/s-l1600.jpg

I am located in Oakland, CA, but very open to working remote with a little guidance.
