send commands by sms

Using Arduino Project Guidance

Hey people,

I'm new here and want to make a prototype with arduino parts. I want to make a circuit controlled by cellphone. For instance: i sms: "Start" and it will make a output pin high when i sms "stop" it will make the outpin low.

i'm wondering if this is possible and if it is, what parts do i need? -which andruino board? -which shield do i need to add to recieve SMS and read out the characters?

can anyone help me to get in the right direction?

I recommend you use an Arduino Uno first. It would be more than enough for your program. :)

tried a program like that 2 days ago. :)
