Send string value from Android to Esp8266 on local network using http request

Hello Everyone,
I am almost a beginner in ESP8266. And i stuck at a point. I performed many search but didn’t find any Solution.
I want to send string value from Android application to my ESP8266 using local network. I don’t know how to do that. Can you please give me an example on this.

presumably you mean send an IP message?

you need to connect to Wifi and then listen for a connection from your android application. In other words, you need a server running on your esp
