After posting my # 1800 (well, that's where the counter has landed for me after the update), i saw the text balloon, including the green thingy telling me that i'm online and able to receive PM's.
So i decided to click on it, and surely enough i was able to compose, send and receive a PM to myself.
I do occasionally send emails to myself so i can receive and open them on different devices.
But being able to send PMs to myself seems to be a silly feature.

I complained when my ability to report a post to a moderator was removed. The argument was "but you are a moderator!". My response was that sometimes I need to get a second opinion. That isn't exactly what you are reporting, but yes, probably someone would complain if it was removed.
This is very trivial. If the PMs are otherwise working then you shouldn't bother the admins about it
I wonder how much space has been taken up with messages to self to test this?
I know I'm guilty!
