Sending a starter kit to France

I want to buy a kit for my son who is living in France. Does Arduino ship to France?

Hi,

Where are you? Fedex/UPS are horribly expensive USA to Europe. US Postal "First Class Package" is a lot more reasonable.

Other solution: IF you like THESE KITS they can be shipped from Shenzhen China DHL for $20 and less than 1 week to Europe.

DISCLAIMER: Mentioned stuff from my own shop...

I think you would be better off to contact store support with this question: http://store.arduino.cc/store-support

The short answer is almost certainly "yes". However, there are two different versions of the store depending on the location you select on the top bar: America/Oceania/Asia and Europe/Africa. I notice that France is not listed in the shipping "Country" menu for the shipping address when your location is set to America/Oceania/Asia but it is listed when your location is set to Europe/Africa. Conversely, United States (and likely other countries outside the scope of the location) is not listed under the "Country" menu for the billing address when your location is set to Europe/Africa. So it's not so simple as it should be. If you're set on getting an official Arduino Starter Kit, you might also look to see if any of the Official Arduino distributors listed here: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Buy have a more sane checkout process. There is a pretty good list of distributors in France, which would likely be the cheapest option for shipping and duties. Also, some of the "World" distributors likely ship to France.

Why not buy from a French (or at least European) mail-order supplier?
