Sending multiple variables over serial between to arduino

Hi everyone

I've been using the arduino arduino environment for about a year now, but have only just started using serial between two arduinos.

I'm trying to figure out how to send 5 variables a,b,c,d,e from arduino 1, over serial to a arduino 2 and store them into the corresponding variables a,b,c,d,e.

sorry if this is really easy, but i'm a noob and cant really find anything understandable on the internet to help me with this.

thanks for your help.

First of all, I really hope that they are not actually named a, b, c, d, and e. Second, type "serial between" into the search box in the upper right corner of this page.

Have a look at the 3rd example in Serial Input Basics and the parse example that illustrates how to assign the data to variables.

It is easiest to define the receiving system first and then make the sending system comply with it.
