Sensing Vibration for vibration machine

Hello All,

I am new to Arduino and sensor topic and I am from mechanical background

I have to sense the vibration from machine where machine vibration will be 1500Hz and above
I have to sense when machine is OFF and output should be buzzer
can you please help me what kind of sensor is suitable for this project and Arduino board

looking forward for your support

have a nice day

regards
vinay

How about a vibration sensor?

I have selected SW 420 and I have B&K uniaxial accelerometer charge type

which one is good? I have to sense only vibration machine is ON or OFF

please suggest if you know better and good sensor. machine vibration is upto 13000hz

thank you
vinay

This is the point where trying it out comes in play.

I am not trying to play here....

perhaps I am trying new things....

An accelerometer or SW 420 will not be useful to detect vibrations at 13 kHz, but a piezoelectric transducer should work.

You will have to do experiments with the machine to see what works.

Why not simply put a relay on the power feed to the vibrator after the switch. This response is to help you get started in solving your problem, not solve it for you.
Good Luck & Have Fun!

I don't have permission to do anything inside the machine because machine is very expensive

i have to attcahe external sensor to ditect the vibration

if power goes and comes the machine will OFF and there is no indication to ditect machine OFF at night so if we fix one vibration sensor and buzzer. people will get to know the machine is OFF and he can switch it ON again.

"people will get to know the machine is OFF and he can switch it ON again."

If the machine has an ON light, maybe use a photo transistor there to detect if the light is on or off.
