Sensitive RFID Reader

Hi,

I am using RC-522 Arduino module to read RFID tags. This module does work with the 'credit card' RFID tags that come with it however it does not provide me the sensitivity that I need. I find that unless the reader is exactly above the center of the 'credit card' it does not pick-up the RFID tag. I need a reader that picks up the tag from 0.5cm-1cm away (more than this distance will become disruptive since I have a few tags near each other).
Any recommendations for a more sensitive RFID reader than the RC-522 but still in the range of centimetres?

Sparkfun has a WRL-00705, that may work. I have no experience with this but it looks like it might do it for you. This response is to help you get started in solving your problem, not solve it for you.
