Sensor for measuring weight(EDITED)

Hi
i am new to arduino and i need to adruino(havent bought it yet)
i need a sensor to attach to a factory scale which measures trucks with cargo (2+ tons)
so should i buy arduino?
and which model?

Thanks

You need to tell us the details on the scale first, at least make/model but preferable also web address and manual will help save us looking for them. We need to know what interface & protocol the scale uses to talk to other equipment before recommending a Arduino.

You should also outline what your hoping to do with the Arduino connected to the scale as this could greatly influence your choices.

i need to connect the scale to a pc program to check the cargo's weight from there

some friends recommented arduino for the task

Why don't you give us any information about the scale?

i dont know the model name (yet) but it's a typical electronic-platform scale as shown in the picture

Depending on what outputs the scales have you might be able to connect directly to a PC and avoid the use of an Arduino. Really need details on the scale and/or a manual to decide this.

EDIT: I went looking for info and if your using Keda Electronic scale then the blurb here says it has standard RS232 output so could be connected directly to a PC.
