sensor to make a micron guage

Hi:
I am new to the arduino, but after seeing what it can do I am sure it can do what I want, but I need some help to get started.
When installing air conditioners they need to vacuum the system down to around 100 microns before installing the refrigerant. These gauges are digital so they must have some kind of microprocessor and sensor in them to do this. Is there a relatively cheap sensor that can be connected to an arduino that can read the vacuum and allow the arduino to display the reading on an lcd? I just don't know where to even start to find a sensor that would do this.
The guage says it is a thermistor. How would you use a temperature resistor for vacuum?
Thanks for any help in advance.

a number of companies make 4-20mA output vacuum transducers. One of these would be the simplest way for you to go. Be aware that there is a major difference between a pressure transducer that will read negative & a proper vacuum transducer. The pressure transducer uses atmospheric pressure as its reference & is virtually useless at the sort of vacuum you need to pull. Avoid any that use the word"gauge" & look for absolute in the description.
To read 100 micron with any accuracy the price of the sensor will be a bit of a shock
