I purchased at a sale a box of Arduino and Sainsmart boards and sensors one of the sensors has 2 mercury switches. How can I find these so I can mark them for their purpose? If I am in the wrong area moderator please move this post.

Some time ago, we´ve tried to help someone with the same problem.
You can try to find some info of your box on the internet or send a picture of it in order to see if someone has the same kit.
As a last resort, send a photo of the sensor you want to identify.
