When I plug in the USB Host Shield v2.0, the code loading and serial does not work, please help!
Your topic has been moved from IDE 2.x to 3rd Party Boards as your description does note indicate a problem with the IDE.
Can you please provide a link to the shield as well as to documentation of the shield?
The more info you provide, the higher are the chances that you get a proper solution. With so much info, it is even difficult to make a guesstimation of the problem. For now, unplug your device from PC. Then open the Device Manager then click on the > Ports (COM & LPT). It should expand and you should see a list of ports (or at least one item that is the PC's Hardware such as Intel(R)... etc.)
Then keep your eye on the screen and connect your device to a USB port via a cable that you are sure is capable of data transfer. There should be a sound from the speakers or the headphone and the Device list should update and you should see a new device or a new port wit a number (3,4,6 etc) If all goes well and you see that your PC recognizes the new thing that is connected and there is not a yellow triangle next to it, then let us know. The assumption is that you are using a Windows PC.
No, as I said, the drivers and ide are installed, but there is no yellow warning triangle, but the serial and code installation does not work. Is it broken, is the USB host shield or is it because of the use of Rx and tx?
But let me tell you something, when I plugged in the USB device, it worked somehow.
So, is your IDE now communicating with your Arduino and are you capable of uploading codes into it?
