Serial camera / RC / Xbee

Alright so today I was looking around at xBees and i saw that there's one that is rated for 15miles range... THAT IS FAR!
http://ladyada.net/make/xbee/modules.html

would there be a way to send video over one of these? (video as in 1picture a second without sound would do)...

Just wondering if it would be possible to make a rc car that i could put the video on the same rf module as the microcontroller...

(make a remote control car that can be ran from miles away! that would be too freakin cool!)

Holy sh...that's freakin' awesome. I didn't realise they had such good range. I'm sure that'd be with LOS (line of sight) in perfect conditions though. Even at 50%, that's still 7.5 miles.

BTW, at 9600Kbps, you're talking 9.375 kilobytes per second before any packet loss and other overheads...so I'm guessing the quest for video would be pretty much stumped at the get-go before you even move onto finding a CCD or whatever and how to actually get the data and send it. D'oh!!

that is FAR! well yes i noticed that it had an extemely limited baud rate... where as, i believe, the 60mw pro version (on sparkfun) has like 225k/s.

BUT i found this This product is no longer available.

i guess the question isn't sending video, but sending pictures (since sound really isn't needed..... or a high framerate)
600x600 jpeg every 1 second or something. it could be done.

now integrating camera with a microcontroller....ideas?

Just remember that Arduino has severly limited memory, not anyway near enough to store / buffer even a fraction of a video image.

yeah.... =/ i would have to go into arm or something faster than that (aunt works at hp and they use arm ucs in lots of specialized printers)

if i ever get to this wonderful project i'll prob switch my phones and use my old razr on the car lol have arduino take pics and mms them to another phone lolol
