Finally figured it out!!! I needed a while loop in the processing code to check the port in SerialEvent(). I'm not really sure why, but I think it has something to do with the fact that it now always tries to read the data as long as myPort.available() is more then 0. Thanks everyone for your help…

Yes pin 0, 1, 7, 8, 9, 10 are Tx/Rx pins, I'm not sure about pin 5.

Does this affect the results?
