"serial" module not found in arduino ide 2.0r9.2 in linux

Hi,

The ide found the device, dev kit v1, and port, /tty/USB0, and on the last compiling phase the error meesage given is "serial" module not found.

Any thoughts?

Please provide the full error message. Right click in the output window and select "Copy all". Next paste here in a reply using code tags.

1. Does /tty/USB0 disappear when you disconnect the board? If not, it's not your board.
2. Which operating system?
3. Which board are you using?
4. If your board has a microUSB connection, be aware that there are two types of cables; charge-only cables and data cables; you need a data cable. Try another cable (e.g. one that came with a cell phone if that has a microUSB connection)
