Serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-A60049yv' not foun

Hey Everyone,

I'm a proud Newb, and I'm desperately lost. I've been playing with the Diecimilia and things have been going fine. I just recently purchased the RepRap Motherboard v1.2 and the USBtinyISP to try and control 3 stepper motors.

In the process of running the bootloader to the Sanguino chip and actually communicating with the board I've run into this roadblock.

Serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-A60049yv' not found.
When I go to the tools menu "serial port" it is greyed out and I can't set anything. And I can't get anything to upload to the motherboard.

I should note that it said the boot loader completed and I saw the lights on the board all flash and blink.

when I unhook the USBtinyISP and plug it back into the Diecimilla I get the option to change the serial port back. How do I overcome this USBtinyISB issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm running on an intel powermac. using Arduino 17 with the Sanguino plugins/updates/hacks, whatever you want to call it.

anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if it is at all related, but I had a similar issue when I put the atmel chip in backwards.. Make sure all your connections are clean and in the right place.

Good luck!

I got the same problem on a campaq computer, and it all just worked on another computer. I saw that you could deleted something from the java folder, but it does work for me, it just can open arduino if I remove the file..
So what to do=?
