hi, when installing for the first time my Arduino Uno and updating the port driver the Arduino Uno.inf doesn't sow in the list of drivers (whereas FTDI does...). Does anyone has a clue of what's going on here? Apologies for a very basic question but pretty frustrating for the novice that I am! Thanks for your help, Antoine
Having the same problem. I'm using macbook pro retina. Have tryed all the tips here on the forums but it just won't recognise my usb
The FTDI chip is the USB to serial converter on some boards, it should become a com port and then you just upload sketches to that com port.
