Serial port, i2c bus, multiple inputs

Hi,

I’m trying to use the arduino diecimila to build something, but I’m in way over my head. I’m trying to have it read information from two sensors (IR thermometer and photodiode) and transmit the data to my computer through the serial port using an i2c bus. I got it to read and send to the thermometer, but now I can’t figure out how to add the photodiode.
Is there any way to have one board send two sets of data? Alternating which is sent would be fine.

Thanks!

Can you tell us more about the photodiode? Such as a part number or a data sheet? And yes, alternating between them in software will work fine.
