Serial Port not populating under Tools Tab after FTDI drivers where installed

I'm assuming you're using Windows.

  • Unplug the USB from the FTDI board
  • Open Device Manager,
  • Plug the USB into the FTDI board
  • Do you see a new device appear? It should be under Ports (COM & LPT) or Other Devices.
