Serial read line by line

I have a Raspberry connected to an Arduino with a usb cable. It is for an autonomous pathfinder robot. The raspberry serial prints commands into the arduino tutorial but it will all be printed at once. It will look something like:

Go forward
Go left
Go right

I want the Arduino to serial read the first command, perform the first command and then read the next command can anyone help me with how to do that?

The example with '\n' will probably be close to what you need.

t will all be printed at once.

You may want to consider some form of flow control, or extra buffering.

Simplify. Simplify. Most of the data in those messages is entirely redundant. Just send 'F' for forward, 'L' for left and 'R' for right. that will make it very much easier for the Arduino program to figure out what to do.
