Serial reading the array

I am using arduino to receive the serial read data continuously in an array from another device,
for e.g.(i am transmitting 1 to 200 from arduino 1 to arduino 2)where from reciever arduino 2 i want to read only one value (e.g: 75),i tried using array function to fetch only one value but still i m getting all the data to reciever terminal,
can any one sujjest me to develop a code for that?????????????

i tried using array function to fetch only one value

I have no idea what that means

Post what you tried

int incomingByte[200];//recieving some set of values

void setup() {

Serial.begin(9600); // opens serial port, sets data rate to 9600 bps

}

void loop() {

while(Serial.available() > 0) {
//some confidential datails so posting similar kind of demo code//
for(int i=0;i<200;i++){
incomingByte*= Serial.read();*
if((incomingByte[112]==237) )//at 112th array compare 237
{

  • Serial.println(incomingByte[112]);*
  • Serial.println("value read 112th array");*
    // delay(1000);
  • Serial.end();*
    }
    else if((incomingByte[118]==233))
    {
  • Serial.println(incomingByte[118]);*
  • Serial.println("value read 118th array");*
    // delay(1000);
  • Serial.end();*
  • } *

Please post a complete program using code tags when you do to prevent the italics as in your previous post

Why are you using Serial.end() ?
