Serial transceiver compatibility with Arduino?

I have successfully got HC-12 transcievers to work with Arduino. I'm looking for other alternatives (range, ability to transmit from a moving car, transmit speed, etc.)

i came across these and wonder if they will work with arduino. I'm not master at communications but when I saw RX TX on the unit i figured i could swap them with my HC-12.

I don't know, my knowledge is very limited when it comes to communications.

thanks in advance.

Yes, if you look at the specs it says the following:

  • 2-way full-duplex communication through adaptive TDM
  • UART interface

The above bullets reference UART communication for the module you linked to. Arduino serial ports are UART (Universal Asynchronous Receive Transmit) serial ports as well and are compatible.

Atmel datasheets actually call their serial ports USART (Universal Serial Asynchronous Receive Transmit), but it’s the same thing.

Thanks power_broke. I saw UART and figured it was OK, but i’m very green with this stuff.
