Serialist - a helpful little utility for Arduino

A little promotion of a helpful tool, please forgive me...

Having interfaced a lot of things between Arduino and various desktop software (Processing, Flash, LabView, TeraTerm, etc.) I've run into the challenge of keeping track of all of the serial ports (I often have multiple Arduinos connected). Some applications on Windows list only "COM3" instead of a useful serial port name.

Sooo, we built a little Windows tool tray app called Serialist that lists all your connected serial devices and lets you configure applications to run on them.

Here is the download on google code, and a blog post about the software on IDEO Labs. Let me know if you have any suggestions or issues. Thanks!

certainly looks interesting - thanks.

Can you think of any way for a program like this to figure out what's attached to the port?
