Undergoing putting some arduinos around my house. Ans my question is - can i run one arduino connected to a PC/Network and transmitting commands and data (say parced internet weather data) to other arduino's via 433 wireless modules (which are way cheaper than wifi or bringing ethernet cable to every arduino)? Any hidden drawbacks? Ans what about vice versa arduinos - transmitting data to the arduino server?
The 433 modules I have seen are transmitter/receiver pairs, so it is uni-directional.
For bi-directional you need transceivers.
I would suggest looking att nRF24L01 modules (less than £2 each) and maniacbug RF24 and RF24Network libraries. The libraries are for a sensor node network.
