Servo control

I want to control a servo from a model radio receiver via my Arduino.
I can get a pulse of from 1000 micro second to 2000 micro seconds by using val = pulseIn(pinIn, HIGH) from my receiver
But how do I get this to drive the servo from 45 to 135 degrees?

Have a look at the map() function. It allows you to convert one range of values to another.
