I’m looking for a servo controller for my MEGA
I’ve had a look around and have found a few but I thort the best bet is to ask you lot what you think is the best one.
it needs to have plenty of connections 20+ with the ability to handle around 10 at once.
it needs to be fairly cheap and work well with the arduino without loads of messing around.
i would prefer one that is accurate and smooth with the ability to control servo possition and speed.
let me know if you have anything in mind, I’m still waiting for my arduino to arrive. the wait is killing me.
a week already
Pololu has several models of servo controllers.
Here is a higher end model with more servo channels and can do either USB from a PC or TTL serial from an Arduino: http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1356
They have several smaller versions: http://www.pololu.com/catalog/category/12
I haven't use any of their products, but they have a good rep around here and make many unique items.
they look like exactly what I'm looking for, do you know anywhere they are available in the UK?
active robots have one but its not the same as the one on the manufacturers website and they want a fair few quid for it.
do you know anywhere they are available in the UK?
No, I have never even been to the UK. I did in the late 60s have orders issued in the U.S. Air Force for a nice assignment to High Wickum (sp ?), but at the last min they changed the assignment to Hawaii instead. I was bummed for awhile, but Hawaii was a nice assignment also. :D
You could try proto-pic or cool components
Also give Google a try!
I use the below ssc-32 servo controller and it works well. There should be a supplier in the UK.
