Hello,
bit of an odd question, but is there a special reason why servo leads are often strange colours? Mine seem to be orange, red and brown, and I was wondering why they're not red, black and "something else"?
My question has NOTHING to do with the magic smoke falling out of my servo, of course...

Lack of standardization I guess.
Customer lock in ?
My experience is that the red/black or brown (+ and - terminal) are almost standard.
Some of the differences at this page, it shows connectors for regulators, but the connector etc. are the same for servos

Wish I had known about this page when I got a pair of Airtronics servos.. Would've saved a lot of headaches, to say nothing of saving the servos after cooking one. (feeding GND to the signal wire. well-cooked the poor thing!)
