hi, i m using MG995 Servo motor. It's rating is 4.5 -7 V and 550 -900 mA.
i m using variable dc power supply 0-30v, 2A.
when i connect the circuit and start giving supply , it indicate short circuit even on less voltage

i can be wrong but servo should be connected to digital, and not to analog pins

Well that looks right, so now you need to explain what indicates a short circuit: what's shorting to what?
Where's the smoke coming out ![]()
(You can run servos from analog pins by the way, I tested it recently. Number them as say A0 or 14 (Uno) and they behave just like digital pins.)

So where is the short?- through a servo? Measure the resistance across the red and black wires of the servos, sounds like one's damaged internally.
If you can take it apart, maybe one of the wires is loose inside and touching something it shouldn't touch.

I think I remember in the past someone using a power supply similar to yours and having issues. the starting current for that servo might be more than 2A, triggering a short indication.
If the supply has current folding then you'll have difficulty - fixed current limiting is
much more friendly to temporary overload.

try one servo on its own.
Can you post a picture of your project please including power supply.
Does the power supply have adjustable current limit?
Does it have a volt and amp meter to show you what the supply is doing?

Is your supply current limiting or does it trip-out on over current?
Expect the thing to pull ~10A if it can when physically connected, just for some microseconds,
in order to charge the decoupling capacitors. Thereafter it shouldn't need more than
2A. Perhaps your power supply is too fussy, or is set to a lower current limit than 2A?
Connect everything up, then power up the supply and you'll avoid that high current
spike due to the decoupling caps.
