Servo moving slowly in step/jerk like fashion

Hello all,
Pulling my hair out here! I've got an HS-985MG and a HS-755HB that work with the stereotypical potentiometer set up and then I have two HS-5645MGs that REFUSE to do anything resembling productivity. They seem to move in a jerky step like fashion and take what must be 30 seconds to reach their destination.

Has anyone ever seen this before?

I'm hooked up to 5v external power and just running the arduino knob tutorial code trying to trouble shoot these little guys. I've made sure they share common ground and such.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Even with an external supply, are you sure you're providing enough current?

Hi

shows digital modulation.

shows analogue modulation.

Attached is a sheet on digital and comparison with analogue modulation.(Sorry about the resolution try link below)

Hope this helps. Tom.......

Uh oh....TomGeorge...I'm a bit new to servos here. I originally had to swap out the second two after ordering the first because the first was out of stock. I thought I had picked the same type.

Do you have any advice or pointers in the right direction for getting both working in the same system?

Also, current is fine, 3A at 5V brick.

If the servos are under any load, then you should power them with 6v instead of 5v. You should also post your code even if you think it is correct.

Post BOTH code and circuit. Servos normally work without much fuss as long as they are powered/wired correctly. I assume you are troubleshooting without a mechanical load.
