Servos and power supply

Hi, I am trying to connect a few high torque servos to an arduino mega which is already running a few components.

The servos operative voltage is 6-7.4v. So I am unsure how to connect them to get that voltage. Is it possible to just plug them into the board (gnd, v, s) and use a power supply into the mega board.

Or do I have to have some external hardware like an h-bridge? The simplest method would be best. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

No you don’t need an h-bridge, but you MUST supply the servos their power from a source external to Arduino, as attached pic.

Thank you so much JimboZA!, that is exactly what i was looking for.

Much appreciated

You're welcome: just make sure you hook the grounds up- power, servos, Arduino, as shown.

Awesome thanks jimbo.
