Set interval for ArduinoBLE library?

Hi,

the BLE library works fine on my Uno Wifi Rev2. But the BLE.available() function always needs a minute to finish. Any ideas how to improve that?
I want to get the signal strength of a BLE device each second or even less. Is that somewhat possible?
