SG90 Servo motor mkaing buzzing noise

2 days back, it was working good. Rotating to the direction desired. Now it's still and making faint buzzing noise.

I have 5 motors and tried them all but every single one is making that same noise.

What can be done to eliminate that sound and make my motor work again ?

All are TowerPro SG90 servo motors.

What is suppling power for the servos? What is the measured voltage of the servo power supply when the servo is active?

IMO... there are two (popular) reasons.. and the noise needs to be sorted out a bit.

1.) Is it a buzz/noise as in the arm has traveled to a point.. but can not move beyond it? (value outside of range?)

  • doesnt seem like this if its not moving at all)

2.) Make sure ALL GND wires are connected.. this can make noise and stop the servo from moving.

Still need to answer the question above on what you are powering the servo from... (I hope it is NOT the Arduino board itself)

Always use a separate power supply for servos (4xAA will work for one or two), and connect the grounds.

Am using the Arduino borad as the power supply. I didn't check the voltage when the servo is active. I'll check that let u know.

At present am using my Arduino board as the power supply. Will using a different power supply work ?

I'll Try that and let u know.

re-read the posts above..

DO NOT use the arduino board to power the servo.

The regulator can not supply enough current for it.
