DISCLAIMER, i need the spesific spesifacations of the code i gave below, so serial moniter will not work becuase i am using the adafruit pro trinket 3v.

So i bought the sharp digital distance sensor (10 cm) and i need somebody to help me with some code for it becuase i couldent find ANY code on the internet. what i want the code to do is when it detects an object 8 cm away it will use its onboard led to indicate that an object is 8 cm away. anyways thanks for helping if you have any other ideas for this post please suggest them.

Here is a breakout which contains a sensor very similar to yours.

The raw chip needs a few external passive components.
Simply connect GND an 5v to the power rails and OUT to a digital pin. Use digitalRead() to read it and digitalWrite() to switch on the onboard led.
