Shield for playing .wav files

Hi,

I want an Arduino shield for playing .wav files and there seems to be two different shields.

Shield1 - Adafruit Wave Shield for Arduino Kit [v1.1] : ID 94 : $22.00 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits

Can you please tell me which one is better for playing .wav files.

Either one will work. The adafruit one does 22kHz 16bit and the other one does 14kHz 16bit, so the adafruit one will have better sound quality. If you are playing voice or explosion effects it probably won't make a difference. For music it probably will, although neither is really good for music.
