Should I detach the adesive on temperature sensor ?

Hi All

Should I detach the adesive on the back of temperature sensor while using it ? is it too sensitive and should I keep it covered while not in use ?

If you were someone else and read what you wrote, would you understand what temperature sensor we are talking about?

You are right, on the white rectangle you see on the image, there is a glue, I believe it should be removed but I do not know why it was there

I believe that PCB is a dual function board.

Depending on the sensor used, you either solder it on one side or the other.

Cleaning the board probably won’t affect anything.

I didn't clearly understand you , why do I need soldering ?

If I recognise it correctly, this is a DHT11.

Removing that adhesive (if you like) won’t do anything to the performance of the sensor. It’ll remain poor. Maybe it looks a bit better though.

You don’t have to do any soldering. It even looks like its mandatory pull-up resistor is also on that board already.

I should have said ‘they’ either solder a sensor to one side or the other depending on which board ‘they’ are manufacturing at the time.

This way ‘they’ only need one PCB for 2 different SKU numbers.
