Showing a Variable on a 4 Digit 7 segment display

I have an Ultrasonic sensor and want to show the output on a 4 digit 7 segment sensor, so I don't have to be at my PC all the time. but can walk around the from with a battery. I have an elegoo mega 2560 that works just like the Arduino Mega 2560.

One easy way would be with the Adafruit display with backpack.
