When installing my Arduino Uno R3 Plus, my installation process went in a different direction than everyone else's. I got the IDE up, but I couldn't run it due to no port. My serial port option was grayed out, so I went to device manager to fix it. My Arduino didn't show up under Other Devices as an unknown device, or under Ports. The only thing that came up was the cable in my USB port that connects the Arduino, but that had an error that won't go away.
I tried the Update Driver Software, but that keeps coming back as up-to-date, even though it still has the error mark on it. At first, the port option wasnt even there, but I clicked Add Legacy Hardware, and manually added the Arduino. I've been looking around on youtube and websites, but I can't find anything that applies to this.
