Shutdown Arduino Uno with breadboard

Good morning,

In this project I used power from battery 9V. I know I can cut wires ( from battery snap ) and add switch, to shutdown the power, but I need do it with push button from breadboard. Is it possible ?

Sincerely, Elegijus.

Yes. Pololu.com makes a little power switch board that does that. I'd provide a link, but I can't reach the Pololu site from here.

Latching microswitch

But if you're using a 9V into a barrel jack, you're still going to have to cut the power line somewhere.

But if I use 9V battery in breadboard ?

That one works just like a normal on/off switch.

You need to explain what you mean.
Are the ends of the wires from the 9V snap plugged into hole on a breadboard?
Then the switch will work just fine. Wire from battery into breadboard row, switch bridges two rows, wire out from other side to power rail or Arduino or whatever needs controlling.
