I just bought two siemens SFH 205f sensors. I am trying to get these hooked up so they can recieve an IR signal from a remote and it can be processed by the arduino. I have no idea how to go about doing this. Any and all help would be appreciated thanks!
Not a good idea.
This is just a photo diode.
Ok for short distance applications like reflection sensors and photo interruptors.
But an IR remote control receiver is much more than a photo diode.
For that you need an opamp, bandfilter, AGC circuit, and a demodulator.
All of this is inside a 3-pin integrated remote control receiver. e.g. the TSOP4838 (38Khz).
