Recently, I've been moving across to 3G modems, and the SIMCOM 5320x is great...

Something I discovered accidentally was that a CR character embedded within the SMS text caused bizarre side effects. Multiple sends, strange reply strings etc.

So the moral of the story is - as usual, remember to use LF only as line terminators in multi-line text messages!

I am also working on a SIM5320A, but as an Arduino shield. Can you suggest the software routine to power up the board? I have had no success and can't find any online posting. Thanks for any guidance.
