Sim 900 - Arduino randomly restarts while making call

Hello.

I have a Sim 900 uno shield with arduino.

Shield and arduino is powered with separate power source @ 5.2 v.

GSM shield is set to get power form external data source.

GSM shield is set to work on 7,8 pins

I cant find trouble why all works well when debugging and connected to PC via usb, and when disconnected arduino randomly restarts while in example code make call or sends sms :frowning:

This problem drives me crazy... I don't know if it is the right forum, but if it is - guys, any ideas?

i had the same issue , its bcoz of current. while making call they required more power.My issue solved with 12V-1.5A power supply. So try higher power supply, like 5V-3A
