I have a remote weather station built several years ago using a Arduino Mini with a SIM800 breakout. This has run successfully up to the last few months wereby the data has increasingly not being received by the website. The station is making the connection to the network an initiating the "GET" command but I believe the data is getting lost due to increased contention on the old 2.5G network. The network provider has moved increasingly to 3G & 4G.
The SIM800 is not compatible with 3G & 4G and I understand neither is GPRS.
Researching this it appears the newer SIMCom chip 7600E is compatible but I do not know what protocol would replace GPRS to send the data over the 3G & 4G networks. Can someone help?
