hi, i made a card that feeds my sim 800l module with lm317t. I didn't know the module wanted 2 amps before I did it. I saw in the lm317t documents that it can give 1.5A current. do you think there will be a problem?
That will likely prove "problematic".

Will I encounter an error if I connect two lm317t regulators in parallel? redesigning the card with lm2596 would waste me a lot of time. I only use it to send sms.
2 LM317s in parallel -- they aren't for paralleling with, they won't share.
You can try with one, though; maybe the 2A is short-lived.
I think it will require a considerable heatsink, too -- 24V to 5V, in a linear scheme, will 'kill' your battery.
Just noticed that string of capacitors on the input. What's that all about? (Can't be right.)
Better going back to the drawing board now than having to once reality bites and then there's a "board re-spin" expense to go with it.
I copied the regulator circuit from a ready-made board as it is. I don't know why the capacitors are lined up this way.
Weird way of showing things.
Anyway.
It's missing a couple of diodes, See Page -- 11, or go without (it's your deal, amigo).
Take a look at the examples provided in the datasheet/s.
Don't first-time turn it on with the "SIM" connected to it.
Run the power circuit and then take the next step.
