Good day.
I em working on a project in which i need a GSM Shield I connected it via digital 7 and 8 of arduino and they are RX/TX pins to communicate with the shield. I did it this way because I need other pins so a standard connecting would block them.
So the device is provided to work outside so I need a battery and lifetime is critical.I can set arduino into sleep but i have problems with the GSM.
I tried using DTR on GSM but no results. I also have trouble communicating via the serial port.
