I'm keen on building something of my own using Arduino.
I'm currently using a LCD thermometer with a remote sensor in my aquarium as pictured.
I'm wondering whether if there are any temperature sensors similar to the one pictured above attached to a cable.
The reason for this is the "remote sensor" is stainless and waterproof.
You could probably use that sensor. You would have to see what sort it is but it might be a thermistor.
Awesome!! Thats perfect. Cheers guys.
You could make your own for little trouble and a lot less money.
Run wires to all three pins, to give yourself "choices" down the road, as your expertise grows.
It seems its cheaper for me to buy the LCD thermometer complete with the sensor than just the sensor on its own!
If I would source them this way, is there any way of knowing what sensor they're using?
