simple 433 mhz test not working

Hello, I just bought a pair of 433 mhz transmitter and receiver, and wanted to test them if they are working or not. I downloaded the Radiohead library and did everything in the tutorial TUTORIAL: How to set up wireless RF (433Mhz) Transmitter Receiver Module - Arduino Quick Simple - YouTube . Yet I can not see any output in the com port. I attached the pictures of the setups. Also here is the code itself

Try this as a test - disconnect the radio data line, and connect Tx directly to Rx.
See if you can receive messages that way.
When you can, then go back and put the radio modules in again.

Be sure both units have 17mm antenna wires on them (can be simple piece of 30AWG wirewrap wire) for 433 MHz.
The LEDs are so bright it makes it difficult to see how things are wired up.
